The SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) is an entrance exam used by many independent schools. The ISEE has three levels: the Lower level, for entrance in grades 5-6; Middle level, for entrance in grades 7-8; Upper level, for entrance in grades 9-12.

The CHSPE (California High School Proficiency Exam) is an early-exit exam for high school students in California. Students will earn the legal equivalent of a high school diploma by passing the CHSPE. It consists of two sections: an English-language Arts section and a Mathematics section.

The CSET (California Subject Examinations for Teachers) was developed for prospective teachers to measure a specific set of knowledge and/or skills. Each test content is based on a set of content specifications reflecting the subject areas taught.
